Join us for an exciting evening of pressure printing, a simple method for creating stunning prints! Pressure printing involves placing paper on an inked plate, arranging thin objects (cut paper, leaves, fabric, etc.) on top of the paper, and then running it all through the press. The resulting print has a toned background with darker values where objects caused more pressure to transfer more ink. This process yields highly detailed imagery. Designs can be simple or complex. Bring very thin materials (lace, string, feathers, paper dolls, etc.) or select from our collection to create original works of art!
Be on time to claim your workspace (we can accommodate eight artists), or drop by anytime between 6:30 and 8:30 to observe and socialize in our air-conditioned studio. Snacks and beverages provided, but we appreciate contributions!
$5 suggested donation + $10 materials fee to participate.
